Consultant and Managing Director, Aqua Global Environs Co., Ltd
U Win Latt stands as a distinguished consultant and the Managing Director of Aqua Global Environs Co., Ltd (AGE), with an illustrious career spanning over 37 years in the fields of shrimp culture, biosecurity, and the management of vertically integrated aquaculture systems. His expertise encompasses hatchery and farming development, QA, Training, and sustainability.
Prior to AGE, he served as Vice President at PT. CP Prima Tbk (2007 – 2016), where he managed one of the world's largest vertically integrated aquaculture operation. Net profitability achieved under his leadership in 2010, earning him distinguished award for his contributions.
U Win Latt innovated and implemented a science-based “commercial scale Wastewater Reclamation and Reuse System” for intensive shrimp culture, standard growth curve system at PT. CP Indonesia (1991-95). He co-authored an FAO shrimp hatchery manual 446, contributed to the FAO - GSA (2023) and FAO-OIE’s PMP- Aquaculture Biosecurity (2019). He developed the “Shrimp Biosecurity Protocol” for the World Bank-funded Project in Bangladesh (2023) and designed a SPF shrimp hatchery for Iran (2021–22).
An alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, who frequently lectures on aquaculture for short courses and advanced degree programmes at AIT.
Aquaculture Food Science and Nutrition
Dr. Wee is a distinguished figure in aquaculture food science and education with over four decades of extensive experience spanning consultancy, technical leadership in commercial aquaculture and nutrition, research, and academic roles across Asia, Australia, and beyond.
During his engagement with leading international corporations including Diamond V Cargill, Behn Meyer Chemicals, Gold Coin Group, Kemin Industries, Ridley Corporation, Cultor Food Science, and Pfizer Pte. Ltd, he has contributed significantly to feed formulation, ingredient evaluation, formulation optimisation, quality assurance, technical training, product performance review and R&D protocol development.
Dr. Wee has published 22 scientific papers in refereed journals, underscoring his dedication to research excellence and the dissemination of knowledge. He is widely respected for his ability to bridge research, education, and practical innovation.
Financial Analyst and Audit
Tan Kiat Heng is a well experience financial professional with more than 30 years in handling
and managing accounting and finance matters. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in
Accounting from Medan University, Indonesia, graduating in 1992. Tan has built a distinguished
career as a long-serving finance and accounting expert, having held multiple positions with the
prominent corporation PT. CP Indonesia as well as the vertically integrated food conglomerate
PT. CP Prima.
Over the course of his career, Tan has developed a range of financial models for various
projects and investments, consistently monitoring company cashflow and key performance
indicators to ensure financial obligations are met. His leadership was especially notable during
his decade-long tenure as General Manager for the finance and accounting divisions at CP
Prima, where he was responsible for overseeing investment cashflow and enhancing
organisational competency.
Afterwards, Tan transitioned to the role of auditing committee, where he reviewed financial
statements, monitored regulatory compliance, and presented impartial recommendations to the
Board of Directors. He also provided policy advice to the Board of Commissioners of the publicly
listed company since 2021. His insights and expertise have made a significant impact on
corporate governance and financial integrity within the organisation.
Most recently, Tan has played a pivotal role in the financial analysis and development of
financial models for the aquaculture project undertaken by Aqua Global Environs (AGE),
contributing his deep expertise to drive the project's success.
Shrimp Production and Business Development Expert
T. Hari Eko Nugroho is a competent shrimp aquaculture professional with more than thirty years
of experience, specialising in shrimp farming and aquaculture project management in Indonesia.
Nugroho earned his Bachelor of Marine Science from Diponegoro University, Indonesia, in
1994.
Nugroho began his career as a Shrimp Production Technician - Supervisor at PT Central Pertiwi
Bahari (CPB), Lampung. Demonstrating a strong aptitude for operational leadership, he
progressed through increasingly senior roles, including management responsibility for shrimp
pond production operations at various prominent sites. His expertise expanded further as Head
of Aquaculture Project Development, overseeing Quality Assurance for a large-scale SPF
shrimp hatchery, and leading the Technical Partnership Programme within the Marketing
Division.
He has also completed a wide range of professional development programmes, such as
Proactive Leadership Mindset Training, Quality Management System training, and earned
certifications in internal auditing for SOP compliance and food safety. Nugroho brings extensive
experience as a trainer, internal auditor, and management representative for both external
audits and national monitoring programmes.
In recent years, he has played a pivotal role in the development of various international projects
undertaken by Aqua Global Environs (AGE), contributing significantly to the advancement of
aquaculture industry.
Shrimp Broodstock and Hatchery Specialist
Nuryanto is a seasoned Shrimp Broodstock and Hatchery Specialist, whose career in aquaculture has spanned over thirty years, bridging both Indonesian and international arenas. Since entering the industry in 1994, he has developed a deep-rooted expertise in all facets of marine shrimp and prawn breeding. His comprehensive skill set covers the full spectrum of hatchery operations, including natural food production, meticulous larval rearing techniques, and advanced broodstock management.
Throughout his career, Nuryanto has worked extensively with mega hatcheries, contributing to the success of vertically integrated shrimp operations within PT. CP Prima. In addition to his significant contributions in Indonesia, Nuryanto has demonstrated his leadership and technical acumen on the international stage. He led breeding operations at SIS (Shrimp Improvement System) India, a subsidiary of a globally renowned SPF shrimp broodstock provider based in the United States.
More recently, Nuryanto has been instrumental in the breeding projects at AGE, where his deep understanding and hands-on approach have enabled AGE to accomplish.
Tilapia Programme Expert, Aquaculture Laboratory Specialist
Manot Yomchinda is a distinguished professional in the field of aquaculture, renowned for his expertise in tilapia programmes and an illustrious career that spans more than three decades across Asia and Africa. As an alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, Manot began his career in the late 1980s with a focus on Aquaculture, specialising in Tilapia Monosex production. His technical acumen and strong leadership have played a pivotal role in the development of mono-sex tilapia hatcheries, nursery and grow-out cage culture designs, and the establishment of commercial tilapia production—both for his own facilities in Thailand and for international clients.
During engagement with AIT Aquaculture until 2000, Manot served as Farm Manager at AIT, where he oversaw the Sex Reverse Tilapia Hatchery and managed all aspects of hatchery operations, including the supply of high-quality fry.
In addition to his extensive commercial expertise, Manot taught aquaculture at Ubonratchathani University for two years and supervised the Environmental Engineering Laboratory at AIT for four years. His professional engagement has supporting master's and doctoral students for their research projects, contributed significantly to scientific education.
Feed Nutrition and Formulation
Dr. Khamchai is a distinguished figure in the field of aquaculture research, particularly renowned for his expertise in feed nutrition and formulation. With an illustrious career spanning more than 35 years, he has contributed extensively to the advancement of aquaculture, with special emphasis on aqua-feed formulation, production processes, and technological research across Asia and Africa.
Originally trained in fisheries science, Dr Khamchai broadened his professional horizons by delving into aquaculture and genetic engineering during his doctoral studies at the University of Stirling, UK, achieving his Ph.D. in 1996. His research has primarily focused on fish breeding, engaged with the fisheries department of Thailand and the National Inland Fisheries Institute. His leadership was further demonstrated during his decade-long tenure as Chief of Aquaculture Technology and R&D at the Inland Feed Research Institute.
Following his impactful work in government institutions, Dr Khamchai transitioned to the private sector, where he excelled in technical advisory and strategic consulting roles for leading corporations. In recent years, he has played a pivotal role with a commercial aquaculture feeds company in Bangladesh, overseeing feed formulation, quality control and assurance, and production management for over five years. Dr Khamchai’s enduring commitment and contributions have significantly shaped contemporary practices in aquaculture feed technology and research.
Shrimp Production, QA, Traceability
Khoiril Fuad is a distinguished professional in the field of shrimp aquaculture known for his excellence in production management, Quality Assurance and traceability programme career that spans more than three decades in Indonesia. Fuad earned his Bachelor of marine science from Brawijaya university, Indonesia in 1992.
Fuad started his career as shrimp production supervisor at PT Central Pertiwi Bahari (CPB), Lampung, Indonesia for over 30 years taken various responsibilities and functions, making him well rounded professional in vertically integrated shrimp industry of CPB. He has completed range of professional development programmes, such as Proactive Leadership Training, Quality Management System (QMS) Training, and SOP Compliance and Audit Training.
Fuad expanded his career into quality assurance programme, followed by aquaculture technical audit and system improvement responsibilities within vertically integrated operations. Several in- depth evidence-based analysis and audit works have been conducted with his team in shrimp breeding, grow-out operation, technology, equipment functions, SOP and research programmes for approximately 5 years. In addition, he conducted traceability analysis on vertically integrated aquaculture operation to perform system and production related performance diagnostic, functional issues and technical competency that produced vast impact towards change and risk minimisation for the company.
Since 2016, he left CPB and established his own shrimp production farm in line with sustainability guidelines in which he achieved successful crops and advancing challenges from environmental threats. His inputs to AGE projects have been critical towards succeeding implementation.
Beyond his professional engagements, Khoiril Fuad is widely recognised for his commitment to knowledge sharing and capacity building within the shrimp aquaculture community. Fuad’s dedication to continuous improvement and ethical standards has made him a respected figure and a valued contributor to both local and international aquaculture initiatives.
